Do these feeders come with the Vertex 4 machine?
No. The Vertex 4 base package ($1,499) ships with manual strip feeders. Powered and AS2 servo feeders are sold separately on this page.
Will they work with a standard LumenPnP?
Yes. Both feeder families follow the open LumenPnP / OpenPnP conventions and include the definitions needed to configure them.
What's the difference between the two?
The Powered Feeder uses a full steel-plate body with motorized advance — best for heavy, high-cycle use. The AS2 Servo Feeder is the budget option: a metal-gear servo with an upgraded pressure block, sold as a Starter Kit that scales to 16 feeders per hub.
How many AS2 feeders can one hub control?
The included control board + USB hub supports up to 16 AS2 servo feeders.
Do I need extra electronics for the Powered Feeder?
Minimal — it's designed to plug in and run with OpenPnP. The AS2 kit includes its control board and USB hub in the box.
